Shamanic healing and workshops in Bath, UK

Who I am

I live in Bath with my family of two legs and 4 legs in the valley beneath Solisbury Hill. I am shamanic practitioner with a diverse background of training in cross cultural shamanism.

I have had an intense and kaleidoscopic journey that eventually resulted in a trip to sit in my first Shamanic circle in 1997, I was literally following a rainbow that guided me to magical Grimstone Manor in Dartmoor. When I managed to put aside my nervousness and ego and actually “arrive” I felt the drum resonating deep in my soul and I knew I was not there out of coincidence but re-visiting a lost landscape and one I fully belonged to. As with many healing disciplines, Shamanic training is a cathartic and self-healing process as well as a path to heal and help others.

I was blessed to be held by teachers who worked with compassion and integrity as well as discipline throughout this process. What was intended as a journey of self-discovery morphed into an intent to learn how to apply this ancient wisdom for the benefit of others. My alliance with shamanism began, as I said, in 1997 when attended my first workshop with Manolo Cetina hosted by the Sacred Trust in Devon . I continued working with Manolo and the Mexican School ‘El Arte de Vivir a Propôsiito’ in their own Mexican environment. My work with Toltec shamanic methodologies and self-development took me to Mexico several times over the next few years.

At home I dived into the Foundation for Shamanic studies programmes facilitated by The Sacred Trust which lead me to undertake my Practioner Training with them. I began to establish my practice in Bath throughout the following months and years I pursued my exploration of spiritual healing traditions in Cuba under the tutelage of Emilio a renowned Babalawo in Havana becoming an ‘apprentice’ in the Santeria tradition . This was a powerful voyage into another culture and world of divination, herbal cures and alternative ways of interfacing with my ancestral teachers.

At home I was starting to establish a series Shamanic workshops both in Bath and Cumberland with my friend and gifted healer Lizzie Robinson-Griffin. Our experiences of working in the wilds of Cumberland and the lush valleys of Somerset reawakened me to the healing powers of nature and taught me how to deeply merge with Mother Earth and her allies. Much of my work is now based around communing and weaving with the spirits of nature, immersing myself in the elements both physically and spiritually.

I continue to practice at my home in Bath juggling all aspects of life. My training has encompassed: –

  • Shamanic journeying,
  • Soul Retrieval,
  • Power animal Retrieval ,
  • Shamanic Extraction medicine ,
  • Shamanic counselling ,
  • Psychopomp training ,
  • Compassionate depossession training,
  • Divination.

Modern Day Shamanism

Shamanism has changed as the world has changed since Carlos Castenada wrote about the concept of non-ordinary realities in the late 60’s and Michael Harner introduced cross cultural shamanism to the western world in1980’s.

Neo shamanism, as it might be titled, is still steeped in tradition, ritual and ceremony but is practiced in relevance to the time and environments we live in now. Modern day core shamanism has its roots in the same methodologies as ancient and indigenous shamanic practices. How they are applied and practiced might differ but the intent remains the same, to access our teachers and guides in NOR , to access their wisdom and knowledge, to heal those in need in this reality. This includes the healing of our natural world and all that exist within it, it is not limited to individual helaing.

I believe there should be no mystery in this practice , it should be available to all of our communities , it should envelop an overlording attitude of respect for all of the natural world in recognition of our embedded relationship. It is an attitude, a way of living, a way of communication, a way of loving, a way of supporting and spreading hope and positivity as well as a healing methodology.

Many shamanic practitioners and gifted healers cannot dedicate themselves solely to their practices and carry out ‘normal ‘ jobs alongside tehir practices. This does not make them any less potent in their work and is akin to Shamans also working in their communities throughout history. This is part of allowing the much needed spread of Shamanism in the modern day.

Shamanism is pragmatic and non judgmental but demands integrity and honesty. It encompasses and encourages self growth and exploration without judgement or criticism. If practiced with these attributes shamanic healing can be hugely powerful, hugely supportive in a world that is demanding, confusing and challenging.

I, for one, am blessed that I found shamanism and it found me, it changed my life, changed my understanding of my relationship with all of nature and taught me the need to strive to live in harmony with all our relatives and help steer our dream back onto it’s natural path.

Shamanic Healing Sessions

Shamanism is reportedly the oldest known healing methodology in the world. Practiced cross culturally and under many guises and titles and usually with the same basic methods and intent. At the core of our being we are individuals, and as such our soul is unified, our energy body vibrant and we have basic stability.

However during our interaction with the world as we know it ,our soul , our core can likely become fragmented and multiple, our energy can be depleted or blocked and it is easy to lose touch with that the feeds us. We can lose our ability to act intuitively, we can lose our wholesome inner power and we can all struggle in all walks of our life, physically, creatively, emotionally and spiritually.

The purpose of shamanic healing is to enable the re discovery of the singular and unified self through applying ancient shamanic methodologies. Restoring the energy body, re-connecting our relationships to ancestorial allies, the spirits of nature and returning power to its rightful owner.

During our time together I am responsible, as the Practioner, for contacting my tutelary spirits in non-ordinary reality to ask for information to assist the healing of my client. I will use the drum, rattle and voice and many other tools to achieve this process whilst my client will be sitting or lying down relaxing, they will be held in complete safety . There is no obligation for the client to partake in anything other than relaxation, their responsibility is to create their arrow of intent to make the changes to their life they desire with my and their allies support.

My intent as a Practioner is to empower you, holistically, and to return your rightful power bases, to allow you to move forward in your life as a whole, allowing you to act intuitively and re-introduce you to your spirit allies to help sustain this state.

Prior to a session we will chat together when can explain more about the process and answer some of the queries you might have.

  • “How much do I have to say?“
  • “How long will the session take?“
  • “How much will it cost?”
  • “How many sessions do I need?“
